- Create affordable housing exemptions within the existing energy code in a manner similar to SB 5747.
- Create exemptions to the existing state sales tax for essentials such as affordable housing, prepared food, and childcare supplies.
- Reform the command and control cap and trade program on carbon emissions to a fixed carbon tax, with revenue distributed to the people instead of politicians (similar to Alaska).
- HB 1696 which granted taxpayer funded down payment loan forgiveness to certain “non-white” individuals of up to 20% down on a house. This should have been an equity sharing program that would have cost taxpayers nothing and could have eventually been a colorblind policy after a few generations.
- Establish representation requirements on the building codes council that ensures a significant portion of the council is made up of people who are obligated to consider consumer welfare and cost efficiency when adopting codes.
- The “Mask Ban” under SB 5855 should criminalize masked arrests rather than create a dubious private right of action to sue an agent that violates your rights (it is difficult to sue someone if you can’t identify who they are).
- HB 1321 which prevents other states national guards from entering our state, should have also protected Washington’s guard from deployment abroad without a formal declaration of war from congress.
